My name is Sarah Teitel and I’m an art therapist and facilitator in Toronto. I see children and adults individually. I also design arts-health programs. I’ve developed groups that serve adolescents struggling with addiction (CAMH), people with dementia and their caregivers (Baycrest Health Sciences) and seniors living with complex mental health issues (Elm Grove Living Centre).
My background as a multi-disciplinary artist forms the basis of my practice. (I’ve worked professionally as a visual artist, singer-songwriter, journalist, and actor.) I look and listen for the subtle details. My workspace has been carefully designed, and is stocked with artist-grade materials and instruments. I respect the ingenuity, individuality, struggle and humour of each and every person I work with. I value all my clients as people and as artists.
